FAQs
How does your billing work?
Prior to the beginning of a month, we bill your credit card the fee for that
month.
What about the partial month when I sign up?
When you sign up, we will:
- Bill your account a prorated amount based on the number
of days left in the month.
- Allocate the full amount of incoming emails for the month
to your account.
What if I go over the monthly email limit?
We reject any over-the-limit incoming emails with a temporary rejection code and send
you a notification that your email is being rejected. At that time, you will have
the option to upgrade your account to the next level. We will charge your credit card
for the difference between the two levels and add the difference in allocation levels
to your account.
Because we use a temporary rejection code, the sending mail server(s) will queue
your email and keep trying to send it for up to 5 days. You should not lose any
email if you increase your level within 5 days.
Do I get a credit if I do not use my entire allocation of incoming emails?
Ensure that you choose the correct allocation level for your account
as we do not credit your account for unused allocation of
incoming emails.
Can a domain be listed falsely?
A domain will only be listed if a member reports spam originating from that
domain. We track all reported spam messages and the members that reported
them.
If you suspect your domain is falsely listed, let us know and we will investigate.
If a member is found to be abusing this system, we will take disciplinary action.
What email servers may I use with this service?
Right now, we only support sendmail via the milter interface.
If you would like to use this service with a different mail server, please
contact us so we may investigate.
How do I install this service?
Edit the file /etc/mail/sendmail.mc and add this line to the
bottom of the file:
INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`SpamMilter', `S=inet:2525@milter.spammilter.com, F=T, T=S:1m;R:1m')dnl
Once you have done that, run m4 sendmail.mc > /etc/sendmail.cf and restart
sendmail.
That's it!
